About Us

Welcome to the Allen Parish School Board website!

It is an honor to be the superintendent in a school district that I have had the privilege of spending over two decades in various roles. As a result of my time spent in our parish, I understand my responsibility to the students to capitalize on opportunities and overcome challenges to provide a high- quality education. It is my belief that all 3700 students should be in the forefront of every decision that is made within our district, and as the superintendent, my vision is as follows:

When considering the future for Allen Parish School District, it is essential that a sharp focus on continued growth for our district through providing quality education is in the forefront of every decision that is to be made. This focus must begin for our students prior to their entering our schools and continue throughout their educational experience in Allen Parish. Though there are many opportunities to become distracted by the numerous responsibilities within a district, it is essential that decisions are always grounded in the best interest of our students and focus never strays from educating our students.

The Allen Parish School Board is accepting sealed proposals for grounds care and lawn maintenance for its Oakdale Middle School and Oakdale High School campuses in Oakdale, LA. Sealed proposals will be accepted through 1:00 p.m. on January 28, 2026. Proposals will be evaluated and successful bidder will be notified by 4p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Sealed proposals should be delivered to the attention of Lynnsey McClusky, Director of Finance, 1111 West 7^th Avenue, Oberlin, LA 70655.

The form asks for bids for both schools; however, one contractor will be hired to service both schools. For more information, call Kenny Courville, Assistant Superintendent of Operations at 337-639-4311.
